Millennium
series continues

No sooner had Kamehameha the Great unified the Hawaiian Islands than the world's imperialists came jockeying for power. The 19th century also saw the arrival of religious missionaries, many of whom stayed to win converts as well as property and political control. This century of clash between native and foreign cultures climaxed in 1893 with the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy.
