Dean Hirahara has been named vice president at Servco Pacific Inc. and also senior vice president of American Insurance Agency, one of Servco's business groups.

Hirahara will develop and service commercial clients.

"We see a lot of merging and consolidating agencies right now," Hirahara said.

"The pool (of insurance companies) is getting smaller. We want to be one of the companies left standing."

Hirahara most recently was vice president at AON Risk Services for seven years.

He also worked five years as an account executive for the Hawaii Medical Service Association.

He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration/management from the University of Hawaii.

Servco Pacific Inc. is a privately held diversified holding corporation that is primarily engaged in automotive, office and consumer product distribution and insurance services in Hawaii and the Pacific Basin.
