The Rainbows will retain the services of two left-handed starting pitchers selected last week in baseball's amateur draft.

Jamie Aloy, drafted in the 48th round on Thursday by San Francisco, said yesterday he will return to the Rainbows for his final year of eligibility.

"I'm not signing," said Aloy, who was 7-6 with a 4.74 ERA.

Aloy, who also plays first base and was drafted for the position, batted .358 with 39 RBIs. He had four home runs and 17 doubles.

Left-handed pitcher Randon Ho, selected in the 29th round by Philadelphia on the same day, said he will also return.

Ho was 6-3 with a 2.57 ERA.

Meanwhile, sixth-round pick Shane Victorino of Maui, winner of three state sprint titles, was due to sit down with Los Angeles Dodgers scout Hank Jones today.

Victorino met with Hawaii football coach June Jones on Friday. Jones offered a football scholarship a few hours after the recent St. Anthony graduate was drafted on Wednesday morning.

Victorino, who had earlier signed a letter to play for the Rainbows' baseball team, would be allowed to play both sports if he accepted Jones' offer.

Jones reportedly discussed using Victorino as a kick returner and in other situations because of his speed.

Jerome Williams, the 39th overall pick of the draft (Giants), said last night that he still didn't know when he will be sitting down with a San Francisco representative to discuss terms.

Mid-Pacific Institute's Rex Rundgren, the 24th round pick of the Boston Red Sox, also awaits word on when his negotiations will begin.

Williams and Rundgren have said they are likely to sign.
