James Polk will be responsible for business development and portfolio management at Bank of Hawaii's corporate national division. Banking on business

He has more than 10 years in banking and most recently was assistant vice president of First Hawaiian Bank's media finance division. He also worked eight years in various management, loan administration and commercial lending positions with First Hawaiian Bank.
Polk earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan. He has been an instructor for the American Institute of Banking, most recently teaching a course on commercial lending.
