George Sakurai will oversee all of the nonautomotive divisions at Servco Pacific Inc. These include American Insurance Agency, Education Works, Servco Appliance and Electronics Distribution and Servco Integrated Office Technology. Operations are in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan and Majuro. divisions at Servco"We're quite diversified outside of Hawaii," Sakurai said. "In Guam, we have an outlet like Waikele with a movie theater and food court. In Los Angeles, we have a freight-consolidating operation mostly for our internal use."
He has been with Servco for 30 years, most recently as manager of retail operations in the automotive division, which does business as Servco Auto Centers. Sakurai also worked seven years in Honolulu for the accounting firm of Lybrand Ross Bros. and Montgomery. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting at the University of Hawaii and is a certified public accountant.
