SEATTLE -- Texas A&M edged Hawaii, 4-3, yesterday in the first round of the NCAA Division I Softball Regional Three tournament.

Hawaii (32-22) built a 2-0 lead on RBI singles by Kelly Gentle and Joyce Lum before Texas A&M scored three runs in the fourth.

The Wahine tied the score 3-3 in the bottom of the fifth on Lum's second RBI single of the game.

Texas A&M (41-20) scored the winning run in the sixth on a double by Heather Martinez.

Hawaii plays Colgate today, while Texas A&M meets Cal State-Fullerton.
