Web site shows who
can, can’t practice law

Want to find out if that attorney you plan to hire is really a lawyer and allowed to practice in Hawaii? The state judiciary just came up with a new listing on its Web page at that carries the names of all lawyers admitted to the Hawaii Bar.

There is another list of those who are ineligible to practice law.

They are updated once a week by the Hawaii Bar Association.

Also, another local school has won an international Web site competition. The winner is the Lanikai School's sixth-grade academy at The school won first place in CyberFair, a global schoolhouse international competition.

The school had to compete against schools from across the nation, plus the Netherlands, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
