DANA NAVARRO-ARIAS, MAUI TRACK

Set meet records in winning the 110 high hurdles and 300 intermediate hurdles at the state championship Saturday. He was also part of the Sabers' record-setting 4x100 relay team.

SARA YAP, PUNAHOU TRACK

The senior co-captain won three events and was part of two meet records as the Buffanblu won their 24th state title Saturday. She won the triple jump, the 100 high hurdles in record-setting time and ran the second leg for the record-setting 4x400 relay team.

HONORABLE MENTION

Baseball

Brandon Fujimoto, Mid-Pacific: Scattered four hits in a complete-game effort to lead the Owls to a 4-1 win over Iolani on Thursday and a berth in the state tournament as the ILH's overall champion.

Apana Nakayama, Molokai: The junior catcher went 9-for-11 in the MIL Tournament, with a home run, four doubles and six RBIs, to lead the Farmers to the championship.

Girls' basketball

Renee Judd, Seabury Hall: Scored 16 points with 10 rebounds to lead the Spartans to a 49-39 win over Molokai for the MIL's second berth in the state tournament.

Aritta Lane, Aiea: Scored 16 points and grabbed 28 rebounds against Moanalua in the OIA Tournament's fifth-place game. She also had 19 points in an earlier tournament win over Farrington.

Brandy Richardson, Kalaheo: Scored 16 points as the Mustangs capped an undefeated OIA season with a 58-34 win over Pearl City in Friday's championship game. She had 20 points in Kalaheo's semifinal win over Nanakuli.

Judo

Ammon and Anna Tong, Kaiser: The brother (a senior) and sister (freshman) duo finished undefeated and won their divisions (275 pounds and 136 pounds) at the OIA Individual Championships.

Boys' tennis

Ikaika Jobe, Punahou: The sophomore won the state singles title Saturday as the Buffanblu won their 31st state championship.

Bucky Jencks, Punahou: The sophomore won his second doubles title in two years with new partner Richard Salem; the pair finished the season unbeaten.

Girls' tennis

Erin Hoe, Mililani: The junior finished her third consecutive undefeated season with the state singles title Saturday.

Boys' track & field

Joe Siofele, St. Louis: Won the shot put and discus at the state meet.

Shane Victorino, St. Anthony: Won the 100, 200 and 400 races, setting a meet record in the 100.

Girls' track & field

Cassie Coffin, St. Anthony: Won the 100 in record-setting time and also won the 200.

Eri Macdonald, Punahou: The senior won her fourth state title at 800 meters and also won the 400 and was part of the record-setting 4x400 relay team.

Vera Simms, Mililani: Set a meet record in the 300 low hurdles, was second in the 100 and 100 high hurdles part of the Trojans' record-setting 4x100 relay team.

Girls' water polo

Maureen Flanagan, Punahou: Scored three goals to lead the Buffanblu to a 5-0 win Saturday over Iolani for their third consecutive ILH championship.
