Developing communications
at Hawaii Dental

Lori Arizumi will develop and administer communications, advertising, media and public relations for the Hawaii Dental Service. She also will coordinate community relations.

"My role is both exciting and challenging," Arizumi said. "As HDS tries to balance the needs of its groups (subscribers) and dentists in a down economy, our communications efforts bridge the information and technology gap, with the intent to fulfill our mission of providing affordable quality dental care for Hawaii's people."

Arizumi most recently was owner and director of creative services for Hawaii Professional Media Group. Her clients included the Hawaii Academy of General Dentistry, Hawaii Dental Association, University of Hawaii Alumni Association and local architects and interior designers.

She came to Hawaii in 1965, and worked three years for Gamlin & Kaars Advertising. Arizumi earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska.
