Globetrotters
Former UH forward Erin

Galloway worked out
for the club recently
Star-BulletinFormer Hawaii men's basketball forward Erin "Helicopter" Galloway said he's been told to expect a call tomorrow from the Harlem Globetrotters.
He said he expects to be offered a contract, which he is likely to accept.
Galloway traveled with the team during a recent three-game series against a team of college all-stars.
"They said they liked me," said Galloway.
Galloway, whose vertical leap has been measured at 44 inches, thought he would be assigned to the college all-stars roster, but instead spent the trip auditioning.
He said the team wasn't looking for a comic. "They have certain guys who do that, but they just wanted me to play basketball."
Former BYU-Hawaii star Barry Hardy, nicknamed "High Rise," has been with the Globetrotters for six years. But Galloway said Hardy was not with the squad he traveled with. He said he figured Hardy was with the squad touring Europe.
