Customizing portfolios
at Cadinha & Co.

Harlan B.K. Cadinha will head the new institutional services division of Cadinha & Co. He will assist in consulting services to institutional investors charged with managing retirement funds, foundations, endowments and other funds.

"It's customized portfolio management and we're looking at Hawaii and the USA domestic market," Cadinha said. "We're using a prospective approach, forward thinking, rather than retrospective approach."

He joined Cadinha & Co. in 1994 as an investment analyst and portfolio manager. Cadinha also was a certified flight instructor with Sawyer Aviation in Phoenix for six years. He earned a bachelor's degree in history and economics from University of Redlands in California and a master's degree in business administration, with emphasis in finance, from Chaminade University.

Cadinha & Co., founded in 1979 by Cadinha's father, has operations in Honolulu, Nashville and Phoenix.
