for H&W Foods

Certified Public Accountant Scott Kodama will oversee accounting functions at H&W Foods Acquisition Corp. and for its three subsidiaries-- H&W Foods Distributors Inc., Palama Meat Co. Inc. and Hawaii Beef Packers Inc.

Kalama also will be involved in certain special projects to help the companies.

Palama Meat Co. recently obtained legislative approval to issue $10 million of special purpose revenue bonds to assist in establishing a meat processing plant in Kapolei.

"We're still in the processing of construction bids," Kodama said. "Groundbreaking is scheduled for August and the completion date is in the fall of 2000. In 14 to 18 months we will be in the door."

He has seven years in accounting while working as an audit manager for Ernst & Young LLP in Honolulu and Deloitte & Touche LLP on Maui. Kodama earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Santa Clara University in California.
