Josephine Llop supervises the care and presentation of the entire plant and tree collections at Waimea Valley Adventure Park while working with appropriate arboretum or horticultural agencies. Beautifying Waimea

"I'm beautifying the gardens and giving them more color and a new landscape design," Llop said.
There are nearly 6,000 different plant species, and most are documented so visitors can get care information. Llop joined Waimea Valley Adventure Park in 1990 as an intern, then worked as a propagator, horticulturist and most recently as superintendent of gardens.
Llop was born and raised in Malaysia and did residential landscape work in the San Francisco Bay area before coming to Hawaii in 1990. She earned a bachelor's degree in ornamental horticulture with a concentration in landscape industry at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
