OIA Girls BasketballBrandon League held Iolani (7-2) to one hit as St. Louis (6-3) tightened the Interscholastic League of Honolulu baseball race by shutting out the defending state champions, 9-0, at Ala Wai field. League walked three and struck out nine in going the distance for St. Louis, which scored all but two of its runs on errors. Just one game separates the top four ILH teams heading into this Saturday's contests, which includes a 12:30 p.m. match-up between Iolani and Kamehameha (7-2) at Ala Wai field.

Kevin Higa had a solo home run to lead Maryknoll. Paki Lum added a solo homer for Kamehameha.

Punahou 16, UHBA 6: At Ala Wai Field, the Buffanblu (3-6) pounded UHBA (0-8) for 14 runs in the first three innings and went on to a five-inning, 10-run rule win with single runs in the final two innings.
Dainon Steiner drove in four runs -- two of them on a home run -- for Punahou, which was helped by six UHBA errors.
