State’s Catholic
women to confer

The opinions of Catholic women statewide about the issues and initiatives that should direct the church in the next millennium will be discussed at the annual conference of Catholic Women of Hawaii.

Registration is under way for the meeting on "Making a Difference -- Hawaii's Women in the Church Today" May 15 at Sacred Hearts Academy. Reservations at $10 per person may be made by calling Sharon Chiarucci, 263-8844, or Cathy Agor, 682-5359. Scholarships are available for neighbor island residents.

Issues identified by the participants will be presented at the Diocesan Synod of 2000.
