Aiea’s Correa
tosses no-hitter

Aiea's Kyle Correa pitched a no-hitter, striking out eight and walking one, as Na Alii trimmed visiting Campbell, 8-1, yesterday for their fourth Oahu Interscholastic Association victory without a loss.

Derek Akimoto went 4-for-4 with two runs batted in to lead the Aiea attack and Michael Ogawa also had two RBIs for Na Alii.

At Stevenson Intermediate, Daniel Heu's two-out, bases-loaded single in the seventh inning scored Kaulana Kaapana and Travis Sato with what proved to be the winning runs as the Cougars (1-1) edged the Rough Riders (1-1).

Adrian Mols' second homer of the game - a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh - brought Roosevelt to within one but the Rough Riders could get no closer.
