There's plenty of history between the two unbeaten powers. Kalaheo has won 20 straight Eastern games, a string that began after McKinley defeated the Mustangs in the 1997 season opener. Game of the Week
OIA Eastern girls' basketball
Kalaheo (4-0) at McKinley (4-0)
7 p.m. tonightThe Mustangs have already defeated the Tigers once this year -- by one point in the championship game of the FILA-Lady Mustang preseason tournament.
Brandy Richardson and Jenn Conner lead Kalaheo's high-powered offense and stifling defense. The Mustangs are averaging about 60 points a game while holding opponents to just over 20 points.
Amber Ehia and Traci Torralva are McKinley's 1-2 scoring punch. The Tigers' average margin of victory (18 points) has been smaller than Kalaheo's, but their wins have been just as impressive.
Something's got to give. Tonight, it will be someone's perfect season.
