’Bows fall to Bruins

LOS ANGELES -- Mark Williams and Adam Naeve had 13 kills apiece last night to lead the fifth-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team over No. 7 Hawaii, 15-12, 15-8, 15-11.

UH fell to 15-7 on the season and 8-6 in conference play with what coach Mike Wilton called "a pathetic effort for a team fighting for a playoff spot."

The 'Bows play No. 13 UC-Irvine tonight.

The Bruins upped their record to 17-6 -- 11-5 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play.

Clay Stanley had 19 kills for the Rainbows, while Andre Breuer had 14 and Dejan Miladinovic added 13. Torry Tukuafu came up with 12 kills and led the 'Bows with three service aces.
