Mug shot WHEN dermatologist Norm Goldstein and artist Ramsay wed 20 years ago they bought a new Mercedes 450SEL as a mutual wedding gift, Ramsay called it a classic. How true. Euromotors asked Norm if the car, which is in perfect condition and has the license plate "Dermis,"could be displayed at the launch of the 2000 S-Class Mercedes debut party Thursday. Dermis was there along with other Mercedes classics owned by Nancy McMahon, Robert Young and Eddie Chan. A stylish EuroMotors classic, sales and leasing whiz Mary Frisbee, shared the limelight as it was her birthday. Glenn Chu's Indigo catered. Azure McCall sang; Greg MacDonald and Ginai played steel drum music.Company Prez Gary Wassel looked pleased ...

Maria and Jayme Newhouse teach the Pilates method which is billed as having the intensity of weight training but also the grace of dance and spirit of yoga ... Governors take a back seat

Gov. Ben Cayetano and three former Hawaii governors were on hand but they took a backseat to their wives -- Vicky Cayetano, Lynn Waihee, Jean Ariyoshi and Nancy Quinn -- who displayed elegant table settings at Neiman Marcus Thursday.Emme Tomimbang represented her latemother-in-law Beatrice Burns. George Kuo played guitar music as guests sipped wine and champagne and ate canapes. The third-floor display, on view through April 10, also features a colorful table setting by designer Emilia Castillo ...

GUESTS were wined and dined and treated to the rollicking sounds of Da Shade blues band at David Paul's first anniversary partylast weekend. Outrigger Canoe Club manager John Rader and Barbara Norfleet were digging sounds by Art Suankum, Warren Washington, Jerome James, Scott Daigle and Ronny Artis. Barbara's son, Mark, is married to Jack Nicholson's daughter, Jennifer and the two expect their second boy in August. Tonight is singer Anita Hall's last night at David Paul's for two months ...

Chanel Hawaii boss Joyce Okano Reed and husband, Jim, are getting divorced. "It's friendly and mutual," says Joyce, who recently returned from fashion shows in Paris and the Oriental Spa in Bangkok. Eastwood sniffs out a story

CLint Eastwood plays an older, womanizing newspaperman who got messed up by booze before straightening himself out somewhat in "True Crimes." What's this? An aging newspaperman and former hard drinker who still has an eye for the babes? How could Clint come up with such acharacter?But I found this story about the old reporter who gave up the sauce and got his "nose" for a story back enjoyable. There's high drama and suspense galore as Clint has 12 hours to prove the innocence of a man on death row ...
