Trojans clobber
error-prone Rams

The Mililani Trojans banged out 13 hits and capitalized on eight Radford errors to blow out the Rams, 15-4, in an Oahu Interscholatic Association baseball game yesterday.

Wade Murata set the tone early with a monster solo home run to left-center in the first inning and Lane Otani added a three-run triple in the sixth to pace Mililani.

Steven Terashita and Eric Oshita held the Rams scoreless for all but a four-run fifth inning.

Nanakuli 18, Moanalua 4: At Moanalua, Malua Malua hit a grand slam in the Golden Hawks' six-run third inning and they scored six more runs in the fourth and five in the fifth to finish off the Menehunes. The game ended after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Silas Ahsui and Eugene Winchester each drove in three runs for Nanakuli while pitchers Kevin Calleon and Suuius Wong combined on a three-hitter for the Golden Hawks.

Waianae 13, Leilehua 10: At Waianae, the Seariders exploded for nine runs in the fifth inning for a come-from-behind win.

Leilehua pounded out 12 hits, including a pair of three-run home runs by Daniel Sekigawa and Mark Soriano, but was thwarted by Waianae's big fifth inning.
