UH Wahine trim
Tigers in water polo

Katie Hill and Michele Wong each scored four goals to lead the University of Hawaii women's water polo team to a 16-5 victory over Pacific in the Victor Aloha Classic at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex yesterday.

The match also counted in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation standings. The fifth-ranked Wahine improved to 15-10 overall, 5-3 in the MPSF; the No. 14 Tigers fell to 5-11 and0-7.

In yesterday's first game, California routed UC Santa Cruz, 15-1.

The tournament continued today with four games. Hawaii finishes its home season in a 6:30 p.m. match with Cal.

UH swimmers 23rd

The University of Hawaii men's swim team was in 23rd place heading into today's final day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at Indianapolis.

The Rainbows have 18 points, well behind leader Auburn's 340.50 points.

Hawaii did not score in three events yesterday. The 'Bows will compete in the 100-yard free and 400-yard freestyle relay events today at Indiana's Natatorium.

QB Club speakers

Monday's speakers at the weekly luncheon of the Honolulu Quarterback club are Punahou swimming coach Jeff Meister, Hawaii Pacific women's softball coach Howard Okita and Rainbow baseball coach Les Murakami.

Lunch at the Pagoda Restaurant will be served at 11:30 a.m. The program begins at noon.

Weightlifting today

Hawaii's top male and female weightlifters will attempt to break state and national records today in the Hawaii Open Championships at the Ward Warehouse Stage.

The competition begins at 3 p.m.
