Ernest Gouveia,81, of Volcano, Hawaii, formerly of Honolulu, a retired machinist with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, died Wednesday in Hilo Hospital. He was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Laverne J.; daughters June Rodrigues and Carol Folsom; brothers Thomas, Steven and Leonard; sister Sarah Pickarski, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
