Flating has 25 years in loss prevention, including 18 years at Liberty House where he established and ran a loss-prevention program for stores in Hawaii and Guam.
Flating also worked as division security manager for Fedmart Corp. in San Diego and as a special agent for the Emporium department store in San Francisco. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from California State University, Fullerton.
