Hawaii sophomore Nick Folker set a Western Athletic Conference Championship meet swim record of 19.81 seconds in a 50-yard freestyle heat and went on to edge teammate Jeff Stanford in the final in 19.91, helping the Rainbows to a second-place showing after yesterday's opening events at Federal Way, Wash.

Folker and Stanford also joined Greg Phillips and Eddie Lovell on UH's meet record-setting 200 free-style relay team, which won in 1:19.20.

The Rainbows' Luis Rojas finished fourth in the 200 individual medley and Hawaii was third in the 400 medley relay.

The Rainbows took 161 points into today's second round of the three-day meet, 531/2 fewer than defending champ Southern Methodist.
