City Bank has chosen Cynthia L. Wong to help manage the bank's retail branch operations as it prepares for changes during the first quarter this year.

"We are beginning to implement a lot of innovative and exciting programs here," she said. "We are in a growth mode."

Wong has nearly 30 years of banking experience and most recently was with Bank of America Hawaii as vice president and Hawaii district service and operations manager.

After attending the University of Hawaii, majoring in fashion merchandising, Wong left in her junior year to travel. She took a job in San Francisco as a teller for Bank of America.
