In a Pro Tour Hawaii tournament Monday at Ko Olina, Mark Chapleski shot a 69 to edge Dean Wilson by one stroke for the $1,050 winner's prize. Wilson pocketed $750.

Dean Dorothy was third with a 71.

MCLACHLIN SHOOTS 67: Punahou graduate Parker McLachlin shot his best collegiate round for UCLA yesterday, carding a 4-under-par 67 at the Cleveland Southwestern Intercollegiate golf tournament at North Ranch Country Club in Los Angeles.

McLachlin tied for 11th place, helping the Bruins to a share of eighth in the event.

HIGA TO PENN: Iolani senior Shayna Higa has committed to play volleyball for the University of Pennsylvania.
