City offers online
real estate data

The city is delivering a new service that is fast, easy and free -- not what you usually hear about government in Hawaii.

Thanks to the city's geographic information system department, anyone online can look up any real estate in Honolulu.

You can check your own property tax records, the public records of someone else, look for information by street number, street intersection or tax map key number.

To find out all that, go to the city's Web page at http://cchnl.oceanic.com and click on "Interactive GIS Maps and Data."
