Aluminum bats will be used this weekend ... Gaels' opponents have been successful on 7-of-8 stolen base attempts ... UH opponents are 1-for-7, while the 'Bows have swiped 16 bases in 18 attempts.

bullet Series keys: The Rainbows have to forget being ranked, the Gaels' record and can't be caught looking ahead to next weekend's series against Wichita State ... St. Mary's hitters will be out to generate some offense, having produced just 10 runs in five games ... UH head coach Les Murakami doesn't see a problem for his hitters switching back to aluminum bats, "We'll score more runs, but the other guys may too, you never know," he said ... Michael Dartt will start at second base for UH ... Jamie Aloy worked on his pitching deliver in the bullpen during the week. His arm was too high when delivering the pitch last week, causing control problems.
