SEA WARRIORS WIN: The Hawaii Pacific baseball team beat San Francisco State, 7-3, yesterday at San Francisco to complete a two-game sweep of the Gators and improve its record to 10-4.
Kaina McCallum went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and, pitching in relief, shut down San Francisco State over the final two innings to earn the save. Ryan Evans pitched seven strong innings to get his first win.
DOWNTOWN AMATEUR BOUTS: There will be Olympic-style amateur boxing in downtown Honolulu tonight and tomorrow night when the LBC 50th State Championship Tournament is held at the Maunakea Market Place.
