Keolu officially a
Net Cool School

Hawaii's schools are all over the Web and some are pretty cool, but how many are Cool Schools on the Web?

Education World, a huge Web site for teachers and students run by American Fidelity Educational Services, recognizes a "Cool School of the Week" each week to "praise students and advisers for going above and beyond in the classroom."

So far Hawaii has had just one: Keolu Elementary (http://www.k12.hi.us/~keolu/index.html).

But you can nominate your favorite by going to http://www.education-world.com/cool_school/#Nominate and filling out the form.

The Cool School of the Year will receive more than $10,000 in networking equipment from Cisco Systems, plus trophies, shirts and other prizes.

"Home on the Web" is a weekly Friday feature of the Star-Bulletin.
