bullet "Can You Write Just One Good Paragraph?": The Program to Preserve Hawaiian Place Names is offering $100 to the winner of its 5th Annual Memorial Contest. Topic is: "My Favorite Hawaiian Place Name." Entries must be typed on one side of a single 8-1/2-by-11-inch paper with the author's name and address at the bottom of the page. No word limit. Hawaiian words must be spelled with glottal stops and macrons, following standard references published by the University of Hawaii. Wrong spellings disqualify entries.
