High-jumping legend
to hold Punahou clinics

Dick Fosbury, who revolutionized high jumping in the 1960s with his "Fosbury Flop" technique and won a gold medal in the '68 Olympics, will conduct free high jump clinics Saturday, Feb. 13 and Monday, Feb. 15 at Punahou's Atherton Track.

Those who wish to attend must register with the Punahou Athletic Department by calling 944-5856.

WAHINE PERFECT: Led by All-American Katie Hill's career-high six goals, the fourth-ranked University of Hawaii women's water polo team ran its record to 3-0 last night with a 17-6 win over UC San Diego.

QB CLUB CITES SHIMIZU, GASPAR: Ryan Shimizu and BYU-Hawaii tennis star Petra Gaspar have been selected by the Honolulu Quarterback Club as its January Sportspersons of the Month.

Shimizu was honored for hitting five home runs for his Ewa team in a recent Oahu Senior AJA League game.
