9-0 in OIA EastIt was the 63rd consecutive league win for Kalaheo, which was without leading scorer Julian Sensley, who was out with the flu. Levon Freeman hit three of his five 3-pointers in the second quarter as the Mustangs broke open an 11-10 game with a 17-7 run.

The long day was worth it for the Mililani High softball team yesterday. The Trojans won both ends of a split doubleheader to earn a spot in today's final of the OIA Tournament. Mililani, Kailua in OIA title game
Mililani rallied to win yesterday's first game, 5-4, against Leilehua. That contest had been postponed Thursday due to rain.
In last night's finale, Trojan pitcher Chenelle Chikazawa picked up her second win of the day, shutting out Roosevelt, 2-0. The Rough Riders will meet East rival Castle in the 3:15 p.m. third-place game today.
In today's other games, Campbell and Leilehua meet for fifth place at 1 p.m. while West champion Mililani takes on perennial East power Kailua in the final scheduled for around 5:30 p.m. The top five teams will advance to the state tournament, Feb. 10-13, at the University of Hawaii's softball stadium.

Leinani Hashida's run-scoring double in the third gave the Trojans an insurance run.

Kailua 3, Castle 2: Hauoli Kaaihue-Hughes scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh and the Surfriders avenged a loss in last year's league tournament final.
Kaaihue-Hughes doubled with two outs in the seventh then came home when the Knights committed two errors on Steph Gold's grounder. Kaaihue-Hughes was also the winning pitcher.

Leilehua led, 4-3, going into seventh. Tiari Keliinoi opened the bottom of the seventh with a single, Hashida followed with a walk and, one out later, Chennelle Chikazawa brought in Keliinoi to tie it. Antonio followed with her winning RBI.

Campbell had a 7-1 lead after four innings but Waianae closed to within a run in the top of the seventh. Reliever Kelia Kualapua came in with the bases loaded and got the final two outs, including striking out the last batter to end the game.

Kalaheo advances to Tuesday's semifinal against Kailua. The Surfriders won in a 4-3 shootout over Pearl City.
Kailua and Pearl City were tied at 2-2 at the end of regulation. Two scoreless 10-minute overtime periods forced a shootout.
In quarterfinal play at Mililani, the Trojans edged Kahuku, 3-2. West champ Mililani will face Aiea, which shut out Kaiser, 2-0, in the other semifinal Tuesday.
Diamond Hilgendorf scored both goals for Na Alii.
