Murrell camp in February

The Adrian Murrell Football Camp, featuring the Arizona Cardinals' running back and National High School Coach of the Year Gary Clark, who coached Murrell at Leilehua High School, will take place on Feb. 8, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Cooke Field in the UH athletic complex.

NFL Pro Bowl players will help put campers through drills, followed by a dinner and an award ceremony.

High school students who wish to attend the free camp should check with their schools' football programs.

WATER WAHINE WIN: Karin Umemura and Lisa DeRossi each scored three goals as the Hawaii women's water polo team opened its season yesterday with a 25-8 win over Cal State-Bakersfield at Duke Kahanamoku pool.

TRYOUTS FOR HAMMERHEADS: The Hawaii Hammerheads will hold open tryouts for the upcoming Professional Indoor Football League season Sunday and Monday at 4 p.m. at Blaisdell Arena.

Players are asked to wear indoor shoes and must pay a $25 registration fee and provide a picture I.D. For more information, call 955-1300.
