Richard A. Kersenbrock Jr. is responsible for underwriting commercial real estate transactions and assisting in closing services at First American Long & Melone Title Co.

"We're looking to expand in the commercial area," Kersenbrock said. "Right now, were more in residential."

Kersenbrock also was named assistant vice president of First American Title Insurance Co., parent company of First American Long & Melone.

He has 11 years in law and previously was in construction litigation with Ayabe, Chong, Nishimoto, Sia & Nakamura. Kersenbrock began his career in real estate law and development with Fujiyama, Duffy & Fujiyama and later with Stubenberg & Durett. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Hawaii and his law degree from the university's William S. Richardson School of Law.
