HPU’s Parker
wins PacWest
weekly honors

Hawaii Pacific forward Robert Parker, who had 51 points, 27 rebounds and 10 blocked shots in leading the Sea Warriors to three victories last week, was named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week.

The 6-6 senior is averaging 17.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

UH SWIMMERS WIN BIG: The unbeaten Hawaii men's swimming team whipped Rice, 65-27, yesterday at Duke Kahanamoku Pool, winning all but one of the 11 events on the way to its ninth victory of the season.

The next UH men's meet is Friday at 3 p.m. against Connecticut.

BYUH TENNIS STARS IN NATIONALS: Petra Gaspar and Karin Ptaszek, Brigham Young-Hawaii's national small-college doubles champions, will team up in the 22nd annual Rolex National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships Feb. 4-7 at Dallas.

Gaspar is also up for a spot in the singles draw in the third leg of the ITA Collegiate Grand Slam.
