‘Granny Goose’ now
has TV show

What ever happened to Granny Goose from KGMB radio? What is he doing now? Where is he now?

"Granny Goose," a k a George Groves, now does his own TV show for Channel 5 called "Hawaii's TV Mall" at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. The show, shot on location, profiles store and restaurant owners.

He worked for KSSK Radio, formerly known as KGMB radio or K-59, for 13 years. He moved on to host the morning TV show at KGMB-9 for a year. He left last year to do his current show.

The father of four, who was born in Aiea and raised in Papaikou on the Big Island, said he doesn't recall who dubbed him "Granny Goose," but it stuck. As soon as he thinks of a good story about the nickname, he said, he'll tell everyone. Stay tuned.
