Herbert Campos takes a new position at the Hawaii Medical Service Association to gather community input on health issues. This includes meeting with task forces and health coalitions, neighbor island public forums and with the native Hawaiian community. Working in the
community for HMSA"This is a wonderful opportunity to work closely with the community on health issues that are of importance to all of us," Campos said.
He said this could include questions about health maintainance organizations.
Campos has been manager of HMSA's Maui branch office for the past seven years. Campos also worked 18 years with the Maui Fire Department, rising to fire chief. He filled a temporary vacancy on the Office of Hawaiian Affairs board this year. Campos serves on the board of several Hawaiian organizations, including Papa Ola Lokahi, Hui No Ke Ola Pono and Ke Anuenue.
