Kaneohe Bay Marine Base's bike race is in its fifth year.
The IT&B Cycle Swap is a flea market for cycling gear.
It will take place 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 23 at St. Mark's Church, 539 Kapahulu Ave. next to IT&B.
Admission is $5, or $3 for league members, on the day of the event. Advanced tickets are available at IT&B for no charge.
Refreshments will be available at the event, as will entertainment, door prizes and an auction of cycling paraphernalia.
To sell goods at the swap meet, call Frank Smith at 737-7433. Sales tables are available for a fee of $15 ($10 for league members).
The Hawaii Bicycling League maintains the Bike -- Ed Hawaii program, which teaches cycling skills to Hawaii's fourth graders. Donations of bicycles and cycling gear will be accepted on the day of the swap meet on behalf of the league as well as Waialua High School's Yikes Bikes! vocational program.

Comprising three events, the race is open to the public and to cyclists of all skill levels.
The race starts at 7:30 a.m. at Dewey Square. Events are: a 20-mile road bike race; a 15-mile mountain bike race; and a fun ride.
Representatives from the Bike Shop will provide free safety inspections from 6 to 7 a.m. Bikes are required to pass a pre-race inspection and cyclists are required to wear helmets throughout the race.
The entry fee is $17. Proceeds benefit programs of the military's Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department.

The Big Island took sixth best destination overall in the Pacific/Indian oceans in the magazine's Readers' Choice Awards. It also took second place for best water clarity.
Kauai was named the fifth best destination for shore diving. Maui ranked the ninth best destination overall in the Pacific/Indian oceans. And Oahu was voted the third best destination for wreck diving in the Pacific/Indian oceans.
