COUGARS 3-0 AGAINST 'BOWS: The Brigham Young men's volleyball team made it three straight victories over Hawaii in their island-hopping exhibition series, beating the Rainbows, 15-12, 15-12, 15-12, last night at Seabury Hall on Maui.
Ryan Millar and Ingo Lindemann led the BYU attack with 13 kills each. Clayton Stanley had a match-high 26 kills for the Rainbows and teammate Andre Breuer had 19.
QUARTERBACK CLUB SPEAKERS: Hawaii men's basketball coach Riley Wallace tops the list of speakers for the Honolulu Quarterback Club luncheon at the Pagoda Hotel on Monday.
Joining Wallace will be Brigham Young-Hawaii men's basketball coach Ken Wagner, and high school football coaches Kanani Souza of Kamehameha and Greg Toguchi of Kalani. Souza will coach the West team and Toguchi the East in the Goodwill All-Star football game.
The lunch starts at 11:30 a.m., the program at noon.
SWIM CHANGE FOR UH MEN: Four Hawaii men will try to set U.S. Open and American club record for the 200-meter freestyle relay Monday at 4 p.m. in the Punahou School pool.
The site of the record attempt has been changed from Richardson Pool at Pearl Harbor to Punahou.
