Bullet Peter A. Arapoff,66, of Ashland, Ore., formerly of Honolulu, who taught English and comparative literature at the University of Arizona in Tucson and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, died Aug. 31 in Ashland. He also owned and operated Ala Wai Marine in Honolulu for 27 years. Born in Cambridge, Mass., he is survived by wife Amelia; daughter Andreya; sons Nikan, Dmitri, Mike, Duke and Zakh; brothers Paul and John; sisters Anne Marie Bird, Mary McEwen and Cathy Struve; and a granddaughter. Bullet Ella Chun Auyong,88, of Wahiawa died Sept. 9 in Wahiawa. Born in Honolulu, she is survived by son retired Lt. Col. Stephen K.H.; daughters Hilda Snyder of San Antonio and Janet Chun; sister Helen Amai; brother Thomas Chun; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Bullet Alicia Carroll,81, of Honolulu, a retired ballroom dance instructor, died Sept. 9 in Wahiawa. Bullet Ignacio L. Castro,49, of Honolulu, an entertainer at Jose's Mexican Restaurant, died Sept. 11 in Ventura County Hospital. He is survived by mother Maria de Jesus; sisters Elena C. Bullet Dr. Paul T. Condit,79, of Hawaii, a cancer specialist, died Sept. 1 in Los Angeles. Bullet Lillian G. Oppenheim,93, formerly of Great Neck, N.Y., a retired schoolteacher with the New York City public school system, died Thursday in Pohai Nani Care Center.
