That familiar blue Spam can is going to be history. Yup, Hormel, the manufacturer of Spam, is changing the label. So says Tasty Inc., maker of kitchen and houseware clocks. Tasty says it has turned the last of the "classic Spam cans" into a new line of clocks. Time runs out on 'classic' label
Nostalgic Hawaii Spam fans, claims Tasty, can look for the clocks in gift, houseware, kitchen, craft and home-furnishing stores in the state or in 24 other states between here and Maine. They don't say exactly which ones.
Or, those who don't want to spend a lot of time seeking those specific stores can call Foodstuffs Mail Order, toll-free, at (888) 378-8337 to request a mail-order catalog.
The Foodstuffs hot line said the retail cost of the clock is $27, plus $6 priority postage to Hawaii.
