Reginald K. Araki, 86, of Honolulu, a retired movie projectionist, died March 31 at home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Sumiye. Services were private.

Francisco A. “Frank Sr.” Asuncion, 73, of Pearl City, a retired chef from Swiss Haus Coffee Shop, died Friday in St. Francis Hospice. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Elsie; sons Frank Jr. and Jan; daughters Dale Mason and Donna Oleole; stepdaughter Caroline Wright; sisters Sally Asuncion and Luisa Villanueva, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Alvin C.H. Chang, 68, of Honolulu, an electronic engineer for University of Hawaii Information Technology Services, died Saturday at home. He was also a broadcasting engineer with KGMB, KHON, KITV and KIKU TV stations. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Kimiko; son Paul A. Nash; daughters Suzanna M. Nash, Linda M. Yamauchi, Sandra A. Jordan, Debra J. Nash and Catherine L. Gonsalves; mother Lily; brothers Burton and Clifton, and 15 grandchildren. Services: 8 p.m. Friday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Aloha attire. Rose W. Costa, 80, of Kailua died March 31 in Castle Hospital. She was born in Hawaii. She is survived by husband Abel; son Allen Laureano; daughters Rosemarie Paulo and Deborah Park; sister Dorothy Moniz, and four grandchildren. Mass: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Church in Kailua. Mary K. Gonzales, 80, of Waianae died March 17 in Kapiolani Hospital at Pali Momi. She was born in Hana, Maui. She is survived by sons Andrew A. Rabanes and George K. Kaawa; daughter Maryjean Kepaa; hanai daughter Elizabeth Y.L. Kwan; brothers Andrew, Joseph and Androculis Kaawa; sisters Janet V. Rabanes, Margaret Lego, Emmaline Agpalo and Anadasia Tabangcora; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and companion Button. Lee Gray, 77, of Honolulu, a motivational speaker, died Saturday in Yorba Linda, Calif. He was also president of CEO Gray Distributing Co. He was born in Los Angeles. He is survived by wife Barbara Ford; children Jeffrey, Anthony and LeslyAnn, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial service tonight in Yorba Linda.

Austin K. Kaawaloa, 81, of Waianae, a retired machinist from Pearl Harbor Shop 38, died Monday at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Florence K.; sons Wallace K., Samuel K., Austin K. Jr. and Larry L.; daughters Elaine K. Teves, Violet K. Rosa and Yvonne P. Kaawaloa; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Prayer services: noon Friday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. James K. Kahaleua, 58, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a baker’s helper for the former Hatada Bakery, died March 29 at home. He was born in Honolulu. Marvin T.K. Nakaahiki, 38, of Waimea, Kauai, an Amfac Sugar Kauai worker, died last Wednesday in Kauai Veterans Hospital. He was born in Waimea.
