Mililani shuts out Campbell
Star-Bulletin staffMililani's Justin Cayetano pitched a two-hit 5-0 shutout against host Campbell yesterday in Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division baseball action.
He struck out 13 and walked one.
Cayetano had to pitch well because he couldn't rely on much offense from the defending league champion Trojans (2-0). They produced only three hits.
But Campbell (0-2) compensated for Mililani's lack of offense by committing six errors.
The Trojans had three runs in the third inning -- all unearned.
In the fifth, Wade Murata (2-for-3) singled in one run and Mililani got another unearned.
Kevin Mochida had the only other Mililani hit. Mark Pinho and Keala Noda had the only safeties against Cayetano.

Waianae 19, Moanalua 6: At Moanalua, Aulana Kuhaulua got the win and went 5-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs and a home run as the Seariders (2-0) romped.
Four other Seariders had three or more hits: Bobby Tavares (3-for-4), Nakano Kahalewai (3-for-4), Nathan Jackson (3-for-4) and Kaniau Kozeniewski (3-for-5).
Waianae is 2-0 while Moanalua is 1-1.

Pearl City tops Moanalua
Star-Bulletin staffEmily Aguilar and Morrysha Luis led a balanced Pearl City attack with 10 points apiece and the Chargers barely held off Moanalua's second-half rally for a 42-41 victory in Oahu Interscholastic Association girls' basketball action last night at Pearl City.
The Chargers (2-0) led throughout the game but Mayami Stevens scored all nine of her points in the second half to keep the Menehunes close and Desiree Williams' baseline jumper with 30 seconds left made it a one-point game.
Moanalua (0-3) got one last shot with five seconds left but Keisha Labowski-Ferris missed the jumper and Luis rebounded for the Chargers, who ran out the clock.

Nanakuli outscored Radford, 17-12, in the second half after Natasha Rivera scored nine of her 11 points in the first half, helping the Rams (2-1) to a 19-17 lead.
