Services for Billie Beamer tomorrow

Memorial services for Martha “Billie” Beamer, 70, an Office of Hawaiian Affairs trustee, are set for tomorrow.

Beamer, also a businesswoman, golfer and novelist, died Saturday night at Queen’s Hospital.

Born in Honolulu, she is survived by daughter Billie M.; son Milton III; sister Barbara Meheula; brothers George and Charles Fernandez II; grandaunt Mary Quinlan; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Oahu Cemetery Chapel. Aloha attire is suggested. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Billie Beamer Educational Fund in care of Billie Manono Beamer, 1031 Nuuanu Ave. #1502, Honolulu, HI 96817.

Ricardo L. Amingay, 83, of Pearl City, a retired machinist from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, died Jan. 18 in Queen’s Hospital. Rolando D. “Ben” Cabal, 51, of Wahiawa, worked for Cummins Hawaii, died Jan. 17 in Wahiawa. Born in Ivana, Batanes, the Philippines, he is survived by parents Sixto and Rosario, companion Dee Griffin, son Matthew, brother Oscar, and sisters Machellie Rabanal and Lilian Barsana.
