Joy Judith Worobe, 63, of Pearl City, former chairwoman of the Governors Advisory Board on Veterans Services, died Thursday in South Paris, Maine. Worobe served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She was the first woman elected as commander of the Disabled American Veterans, Department of Hawaii. She was medical director of an experimental preschool in the governors office and assistant for family planning.
