Memorial rites Friday
for Charlotte Dennis

Memorial services for Charlotte Dennis, a longtime nursing administration worker at Queen’s and St. Francis hospitals in Honolulu, are scheduled Friday at Park Chapel, St. Andrews Cathedral.

The informal gathering honoring the 40-year nurse, who pioneered home health care in Hawaii, will begin at 5:30 p.m. She died Aug. 16 in Tennessee.

Rose Estvanik, 84, of Naalehu, Hawaii died Wednesday in Kau Hospital. Silveriano “Jack” Fernandez, 65, of Happy Valley, Maui, an electronics foreman for the Bay Area Rapid Transit District, Calif., died Aug. 3. He was a U.S. Navy chief petty officer during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and a National Underwater Association instructor.
