Robert K. McGill, 82, of Hilo, an automotive engineering consultant, died Friday in Hilo Hospital. He had his own consulting firm and served as an expert witness in automotive court cases. He was formerly superintendent of maintenance shops at C. Brewer Sugar Co. and taught a truck maintenance class at Mid-Pack Motor School. He was also president of Society of Automotive Engineers, Hilo chapter and served in U.S. Army in World War II. He is survived by wife Michele M.; brother Alan, and three stepchildren. No services.

Louise B. Medeiros, 86, of Kaneohe died Friday in Castle Hospital. She was born in Kohala, Hawaii.
