Donations will help
get Missouri set up

QUESTION: What is the address of the association that is working to bring the battleship Missouri to Hawaii and how much will admission tickets be?

ANSWER: Correspondence and donations can be sent to the USS Arizona Memorial Association at 965-A Nimitz Hwy., Honolulu, HI 96817-4572. Tickets are estimated to cost around $8. The association has raised $6.5 million - enough to tow the battleship from Bremerton in Washington to Pearl Harbor and prepare it as a visitor attraction. However, it needs to raise $15 million to $25 million to support the attraction. The chairman of the board and executive director is Edwin L. Carter. Roy Yee is executive director.

The USS Missouri Museum will be a part of a proposed memorial park that also will include the USS Arizona Museum and the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum.
