John W. Cochrane of Honolulu died May 16 in Honolulu. Cochrane, 41, was born in Kentucky. He is survived by mother Patricia; brother Scott; sister Sherry Motley; and grandmother Lucy Wood. Theodore H. "Ted" Murray of Honolulu, a developer, Realtor and former Honolulu police officer, died May 14 in Straub Hospital. Murray, 77, set island high school records in the 440 and 880 yard runs. Born in New York, he is survived by wife Ruth P.; son Leslie P.; daughter Lecille Mates; brother Leslie D.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Service: noon May 21 at Diamond Head Mortuary. Connie Powers of Kapolei, a data entry clerk, died May 14 at home. Powers, 37, was born in the Philippines. Ritsuko O. Ah Sing of Kaunakakai, a seamstress and founder of Pioneer School, died last Monday in QueenÕs Hospital. Ah Sing, 88, was born in Lahaina. She is survived by sons Lemuel and Jacob W.S.; daughters Caroline Wasko, Margaret Moffat, Rose Muraoka and Muriel Hughes; brother Kazuo Okimoto, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Herman "Mun-Mun" Amano of Lahaina, a travel agent for Pacifico Creative Service, died last Monday at home. Amano, 29, was born in Honolulu. He is survived by parents Alfred and Linda; brother Gregory; sisters Leonore and Juliet, and grandmother Josefina Sadama. Mass: 8 p.m. Thursday at Maria Lanakila Church. Helen E. Basso of Mount Sterling, Iowa, formerly of Hawaii, died Feb. 10 in Portland, Ore. Basso, 75, is also survived by son Eugene; daughters Myrna Bernstein and Patricia H. Lahr, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.

John A. Bell of Honolulu died April 15 in Honolulu. Bell, 41, was born in Elmonte, Calif. He is survived by brothers Stephen and Craig. Private services.

Regina M. Domingo of Kahului, formerly of Hamakuapoko, Maui, and Mill Village, Maui, died May 12 in Hale Makua. Domingo, 94, was born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines. She is survived by sons Baldwin M., Frank M., Sisto H., Joseph M., Mario S., Alfredo, Roosevelt and Leslie; daughters Marie Ojerio, Pastoria Galla, Carlina Baybayan, Mary Seabury and Virgil Ann Davis; sisters Mary Macapulay, Engracia Ramones, Lenora Balderas and Catalina Butac; 43 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Waldtraut "Traudie" Gaessner of Kailua, a real estate broker, died Thursday in Kailua. Gaessner, 65, was born in Koenigsberg, Germany. She is survived by husband Wolf-Dieter; daughter Christine, son Stuart and two grandchildren. Service: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Kaneohe Yacht Club, 44-503 Kaneohe Bay Drive. Ashes to be scattered. Mary C.K.M. Hustace of Waimea, Hawaii, died Wednesday at home. Hustace, 103, was born in Honolulu. She is survived by sons Frank W. Jr., Edward C., Richard R., Walter, David and Cedric, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Private services.

Maria P. Ildefonso of Waianae died April 30 in Waianae. Ildefonso, 77, was born in Balaoang, Panique, Tarlac, the Philippines. She is survived by husband Marciano L.; children Rudolfo, Vedasto, Alfredo, Pedro and Pio Ildefonso, Carmelina Daquioag, Marcela Mendoza, Antomina Subia and Clara Arquero; brothers Simplicio and Hilario Pasion; sisters Leonora Ipac, Aurelia Daquigan and Florentina Pagarigan, 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Mary K. Ishihara of Honolulu, a retired library technician at Pearl Harbor, died Tuesday in QueenÕs Hospital. Ishihara, 65, was born in Honolulu. Harry H. "Bull" Kaya of Wailuku, announcer of the Maui Interscholastic League football games and a sports columnist for the Honolulu Advertiser, died yesterday in Maui Memorial Hospital. Kaya, 64, was born in Wailuku. He is survived by brothers Albert and George and sisters Edith Higashi and Shoichi Fukushige. Service over the ashes: 5 p.m. tomorrow at Nakamura Mortuary. Emmaline L. Kopa of Waianae, a dietary aide for St. Francis Hospital, died Tuesday at home. Kopa, 76, was born in Puunene, Maui. George J. Lax of Honolulu, who served 18 years in the Navy as an operations specialist, died Tuesday in San Antonio, Texas. Lax, 36, was born in Rock Island, Ill. He is survived by wife Catherine; father Joseph; stepmother Joyce; grandmother Louise Switzer; brothers Michael, Joseph and Larry; sisters Frances Anthony, Teresa Lax and Patricia Richardson; stepsister Vicki Guyton, and stepbrother Richard Dickerson. Chong Cha Reed of Ewa Beach, office manager for dentist Jason Tanaka, died May 10 in St. Francis Hospice. Reed, 51, was born in Korea. Margery P. Roberts of Honolulu died Friday in Kaiser Hospital. Roberts, 81, was born in Boston, Mass. Walter Waslerski of Central Point, Ore., formerly of Wahiawa, a retired electronics specialist/flight inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration, died April 28 at home. Waslerski, 74, a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II, was awarded the Bronze Star. He was born in Medina, N.Y. He is survived by wife Rosaline T.; daughters Frances Cook, Patricia Bennett, Therese Clauss and Maria Rehkamp; sons Robert F., Phillip M. and David C.; brother Henry; sister Virginia Elsom, 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held on the mainland.

Ah Choy Yap of Haiku, Maui, died May 10 in Kona Community Hospital. Yap, 81, was born in Hawaii. He is survived by son Alvin and sisters Marion Salcedo and Helen Ornellas. Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. JohnÕs Episcopal Church in Kula, Maui. Call after 9 a.m. Burial in the church cemetery.
